SPOILERS For Books 1-6.

Contains content from books 1-6.

It will not be updated with content from Book 7 (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows). If/when I create a blog that contains content on the seventh book I will create a new blog and will link from here.

This will forever be frozen as "Pre-Deathly Hallows." There are no Book 7 spoilers here (except for the guesses and predictions developed from these tables of earlier content).

The Prophecy

"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies...Voldemort learned of this portion.
and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the dark lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies..."Voldemort did not hear this portion.

Order of the Phoenix - In Chapter 37, "The Lost Prophecy", Harry watches Professor Trelawney say the prophecy by watching the memory in Dumbledore's Penseive. Dumbledore then explains what the eavesdropper (Snape according to Book 6 p. 549) heard and did not hear.

Posts will be updated as I find more information

If anyone subscribes to this blog's feed, he/she should expect posts to be periodically updated. For example, if I start a list of how many times someone has said that Harry "has his mother's eyes" I may find another one after I've posted it. I will then update the original post. I expect this will happen a lot.

What is this blog?

This Blog May
Contain Spoilers.
Do not read unless
you have read books 1-6.
JK Rowling has given readers a gloriously delicious gift: a septology of books that provide more than just the adventure contained within each singular book, but also the series long mysteries and their clues.

I begin the blog after all but the final book have been published (the seventh and last book has just been named within the past month). Many readers have long been pondering the mysteries of the Harry Potter books. I recently discovered books like "The Plot Thickens... Harry Potter Investigated by Fans for Fans" and websites like mugglenet.com. However, I find that I don't process the information so well in a linear text format. My mind works better in tables.

So, as I process the information, I will be using this blog as a method of documenting what I find through tables. It beats the dog-eared copies of the books on my shelves. I can't lose it like the dozesn of notebooks I start but never finish. And perhaps, a few people who also view the world through tables, charts and bulleted lists will benefit as well.
